Question Tag


               
         Tag questions are made using an auxiliary verb (for example: be or have verb) and a subject pronoun (for example: I, you, she). Negative question tags are usually contracted.




The rules to be observed while framing question tag:

(1)        A tag always ends with a question mark.
(2)        The subject of a tag is a pronoun and is never the pronoun noun.
(3)        The tense of the tag is the same as  that of the sentence.
(4)        There is a comma before the tag.
(5)        The tag is never written with a capital letter.
